Procedure:

Part 1

1. Start a new experiment on the data collection system

2. Connect the absolute pressure sensor

3. Configure data system after connecting the syringe to the titrator machine

4. Run the titrator until all of the pressure is pushed out of it(automatically)

5. Take readings at 5 mL intervals( done automatically when the titrator is running and recording data)

6. Display pressure on the y- axis and volume on the x- axis and save the graph

 

Part 2

1. Start a new experiment on the data collection system

2. Display pressure on the y-axis and temperature on the x-axis

3.Connect the pressure sensor and temperature sensor into the rubber stopper

4. Fill a 1500 mL beaker 3/4 with water and set on the hot plate

5. Place the stirring bar in the beaker

6. Connect the sensors to the GLX data collection system

7. Turn the hot plate on to about a heat level of 8-9

8. Start recording data, turn the hot plate on and monitor the pressure until the water temperature reaches 80 degrees celsius

9. Stop data recording and display pressure on the y-axis and temperature on the x-axis, then save the results/graphs
