The purpose of this experiment is to determine the "fast" rate of a chemical reaction.  In the experiment the concentration of a reactant in a chemical reaction will be monitored using a spectroscopic method and applying Beer's Law.  Variables of absorption, concentration, and the path length of a solution will be incorporated into the equation to solve.  The rate law for a chemical reaction is an equation that relates the rate of the disappearance of reactants of the rate of appearance of products to the concentration of the reactants.
