Methods:

1. Set up data collection system and connect the conductivity sensor.

2.  Label the nine tests tubes with numbers 1 to 9.

3. Pipet the amount of AgNO3 solution prescribed in table 1 into each test tube.

4. Use a second pipet to pipet the amount of unknown solution prescribed in table 1 into each test tube.

5. place a piece of parafilm on top of each of the test tubes, hold it with your thumb and shake to mix the contents.

6. Allow the mixture to settle for a minute.

7. Rinse the conductivity sensor with deionized water.

8. Set the conductivity sensor to monitor live data.

9. Place the conductivity sensor into the first tube.

10. Allow the reading to stabilize for thirty seconds.

11. Measure the conductivity of the first solution and record it in table 1.

12. Rinse the conductivity sensor with deionized water and measure the conductivity of the remaining solutions.

13. Make sure to rinse the conductivity with deionized water in between measurements and record each conductivity in the table.

14. Clean up according to teachers directions.
