Driving Question: How can you identify the anions present in a mixture of solutions?

The purpose of this lab is to identify the anions present in a mixture of solutions. Anion analysis is used, which is simpler than cation analysis because separations are not usually required and a flowchart is not needed.  In this Lab, phosphate, chloride, sulfate, and nitrate are used to analyze, and to identify the anions present in an unknown solution.  Reactions must be performed with great care so complete precipitation and separation occur during reactions.
