Derivation of Calculation of the Heat of Vaporization

The heat of vaporization for each substance can be calculated from the graph of the natural log of pressure against the inverse of temperature that was obtained experimentally. By examining  this from of the Clausian-Clapeyron equation, it is easy to see that when the natural log of pressure  is plotted against the inverse of temperature, the slope of this graph will equal:

Therefore the heat of vaporization can be calculated from the slope.
